Ash Utilization
Fly ash is a hazardous by-product released from thermal power plants and causes air pollution. To contain this harmful substance, NTPC, Ramagundam has taken up innovative ways of reusing fly ash. NTPC was able to achieve 90% reutilization of fly ash by using it as a raw material in bricks, fertilizer, interlocking tiles, etc.
